Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said that the families of Sandy Hook are grieving from a tragedy just as Bostonians are, as he called for Congress to focus on passing a gun bill. “We’ve go to get back to work to make sure we can listen to the American people who still want us . . . to pass a background check,” Murphy said on MSNBC, per a rush transcription, after saying that there should be an “appropriate time” for grieving over the victims of the bombing at the Boston Marathon.
