Its always possible that any single point will have wildly different causes, but at least make an argument from data for why you think what you think.
There isn't much data out there to speculate one way or the other.

The only data you present is from a left-wing website, and even as I read it from the source I can tell that there was a lot of "massaging" of the numbers.

You claim the liberal talking heads on TV may have been "looking at actual stats," but that's a statement of faith in their objectivity. However, they are far from objective, as my anecdote illustrates.
