As recent events have shown, all one needs is a god. Any god will do. Any invisible authority who cannot be questioned as to motive or right will serve as the vehicle for any...ANY...act invented for the self-absorbed grandiosity of mindless mental misfits. Any god will do. If she or he or it has not already been created to express and authorise your particular propensities and desires--simply put pencil to paper and empty your heart and your head. It is a grand old tradition for the human animal.
