totally agree. most interesting.
they better make a watch or something. top shelf products have a certain life, as we saw, but top shelf is a once off from a limited clientel............... certainly on the affordability scale.
i admired jobs for trying to avoid the rule which says........... early adopters who can pay, to a peg board at wal mart. cisco tried that, and ended up selling routers to you and me, peg board. i remember the sales with decent free bkfast conferences, where the guys would tell me, how large their accounts were......mega fotune 500, and then suddenly, it was mid size companies for these shin digs, and so on. i asked one guy, so, what do you think. last time we met................... you were selling uber sized contracts. now you're here and have to sell three or four to make up for what you used to do when you landed one.
he said............ yeah.
and then he said, so what do you think?
I said ( and i didn't know fuck about their product per se), I said, you're gonna see your shit on a peg board at walmart. that's what i think.
guess what steve......................... if you can't be tiffany (and tiffany is a shit brand with crap in an old box), you better find another way..................or you're done. Steve J, didn't want to do that. hence, pc's are still very much alive and very well at 1/3 the cost and maintenaince of a jobs box.
i don't mind the aggravation considering the outragious expense they ask, and.................fucking no support at all and in a very limited time line.
