History moment: Anyone remember "Steven Sage's Short-Term Trades?" thread. What a study in multiple personality disorder & personal breakdown that was (also, crowd psychology).

Sage claimed his were real trades and lots of folks believed him. Problem: they weren't. Problem: he was probably six or seven other people on SI. Funny thing: a whole "bash Sage's critics" camp grew up. Then the "real person" underneath it all emerged to laugh at everyone for being so naive, and promising that he would be back under a new name, with a different manipulative SI thread, and that you woul never be able to keep up with him.

The traders barely blinked, they just moved all the action off to a new thread and kept on blabbing.
