They won't. The DIP's participation in the auction was a certainty from the get-go. They will merely set the reserve price at the limit of their funny money resources. If they win, the court will not accept it, because everyone else walks away with empty pockets and a sore ass. If they are outbid and the court accepts the higher bid, they high-five their way to the nearest Wall Street wine bar for some seriously expensive beverages. The participation of the second lien trustee would make things more interesting, though. We'll soon see.
