I had a stab at calculating the EKS$ based on the last Quarterly Balance Sheet prior to 17 August 2012 and the TTM EPS ..... Also referred to :- investopedia.com ------------------------------- ADM :- Total Tangible Assets/share = (Total Assets – Intangibles)/share = (41553 – 0)/659 = $63.05 TTM EPS = 0.68 + 0.65 + 0.73 + 0.43 = $2.49 EKS$ = sqrt [22.5 x 63.05 x 2.49] = $59.43 Price at around 17 August 2012 = $26.20 ------------------------------- VZ :- Total Tangible Assets/share = (Total Assets – Intangibles)/share = (226072 – 79029)/2489 = $59.08 TTM EPS = 0.49 - 0.71 + 0.59 + 0.64 = $1.01 EKS$ = sqrt [22.5 x 59.08 x 1.01] = $36.15 Price at around 17 August 2012 = $43.00 --------------------------------- Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like ADM was at a discount but not VZ.
