Have been watching 'The Borgias" on Showtime which is really a treat but not sure if you guys have heard of that series down there? Thats why posted that Cardinal Borghese link to you, then watched Rick Steves traveling thru Rome last night, the food so amazing in Italy , they do know how to eat & live well.
Yes that was a well written set of essays , glad i found the site for do think theres much to what Nietzsche was onto which was captured in full. There has to be some thoughtful pause somewhere for a greater appreciation of all human progress we enjoy but also some introspection & measure for who we are, why so wasteful, derisive, divisive, self indulgent , become so bland, passionless, harping & shallow.
Look back just 3 decades to the Jimmy Swaggarts, Tammy Faye & Jim Bakers, Jerry Falwells and Ted Haggards and this passed as having "soul" or enlightenment ? Pretty lame play acting if you ask me that was par & still par for these plethoric times.
