We have had four Democratic governors during that time. Elected by the people. Egan (8 years), Sheffield (8 years), Cowper (4 years) and Knowles (8 years). Governors run the administration of the state.

But you are right, the people vote more often for Republican's and when they do we get poorer (like now), just like the south.

The south voted for segregation for 100 years, so what the majority wants is not always so smart.

And the folks in the south are the lowest paid people in the country because they voted for Republicans that then busted their unions. Texas is one of the lowest paid and has the least amount of people covered by health insurance.

So what do you think about that?

a Democratic house in the 70's for a few years.

What I think is it only took a "few years" for the citizens of Alaska to throw the Democrats out of power. It has been 40 years since the 70s and they haven't been allowed to return because the citizens of Alaska want something else and make that decision with their votes.
Isn't that obvious?
