No I lost track of the class. There is so much new information coming at us I feel sometimes like I am swimming in it and barely able to keep afloat.

I have found it interesting Lamarkian evolution is coming back as supplement to Darwinian evolution.

What I find depressing is that most people are thinking on the surface and seem fine with that.

The problem is that humans are irrational at the base and so if they do not probe below the surface they just drift along in the current of their experiences.

The only thing we have to hold onto for a measurement of our sanity is the empirical method. It is what pulled us out of the Dark Ages and into the Age of enlightenment.

Those bombers were a couple of stupid kids and nothing else. No different than two stupid kids that rob a 7/11. To elevate them to some sort of mystical Terrorist status we need to deny their miranda rights or habeas corpus to, is pure mid evil thinking.

And to watch the people celebrating like we just defeated Hitler is disgusting.
