4/19/13 Contest Update
Back late this afternoon from a short trip with my wife to Mendocino. Surrounded by astounding natural beauty, the news updates from Boston seemed even more surreal. A sad week.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 21.39% YTD (vs. up 21.33% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 25.86% (vs. up 23.34% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.18% YTD (vs. up 9.12% YTD a week ago).
Boosted by the CPRX surge, RKRW’s portfolio, up 63.77% YTD, jumped back into the Contest lead. BLADE’s portfolio, up 56.00% YTD, fell to second place with FILO’s portfolio, up 48.23% YTD, now in third place.
At Friday's close, 37 of the 39 Contest portfolios remained in the black with 16 of the 39 beating the NBI.
