>> Mediocre president.
You are being extremely generous with that remark.
This is a man who has, among other things, dragged out what should have been a very brief economic recession into systemic unemployment that will last at least a decade. He has wasted billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars, a significant portion of which was used to pay off political contributors and dumped on chosen business interests, to be flushed down the toilet like so much crap.
He signed into law the worst piece of legislation in American history, the ACA, which is in the process of wrecking our nation's health care system while increasing costs and killing innovation. He has divided the country like no president in history, pitting black against white, poor against wealthy, American against foreigner, and just about every other way a country can be divided. He has done absolutely NOTHING about the wars that wasn't being done the day he took office. And his legislative agenda, save for the wasted trillion dollar stimulus and destruction of the health care system, has been zilch. And the Left was all about making America respected in the world. Nope. Not even close.
In fairness, his term isn't over yet technically, but it is difficult to see how he improves his "legacy" given the poison he has spewed since the beginning of his second term.
I just don't see how you can credit him with being mediocre at all (which would put him in the same category as GHWB, Eisenhower, and other reasonably accomplished people. What has he done that, in your opinion, would warrant putting him on the level of these people? |
