Hello Gurus,

I'm new here. Hope you keep this more active. Do you think its a good idea to explore on opportunities that get build up for a shot period. For example, is it a good idea to explore opportunities in Keystone Pipelines. It's just waiting for the persident's signature and there might be all sorts of values as the keystone maps goes along several states and some of the work has already been completed (pipes from OK to Houston with 4000 workers doing the job). The bill was sponsored by the head of North Dakota and the pipes are being provided by a canadian company named TransCanada Corporation. I randomly scanned through

Some opportunities may exist. I was more interested in disaster recovery or how the project would fix "tickets". Since many of the states involved go through severe winter, there may be opportunities in buying stocks of companies that sell "special" winter products. Any thoughts? Thank you for reading. Well my whole question is, can I consider going after such opportunity as above to be comparable to the principles of value investing?
