This stinks to high heaven.
Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi , the 'Saudi national' who was originally taken into custody for suspicion of having taken part in the Marathon bombings, was initially classified by the National Counterterrorism Center in a very rare 'event file' as a 'major terrorist threat' having been connected to proven terrorist activity. Such a file is never created unless signed off on by the highest level members of the NCTC, including leaders of the CIA, the FBI, the DoD, and the Department of Homeland Security. It was also determined that, long before the bombings, Al-Harbi had been flagged on a terror watch list and was granted a student visa without being properly vetted. He had been granted a visa to study at an Ohio College, but has never been to Ohio and has instead been living in the Boston area.
Even though sources within congress have confirmed that the Saudi national was set to be deported as a result of his connections to proven terrorist activity, several members of the administration have refused to answer questions about him, or have flat out denied the assertion.
In the interim between Al-Harbi being taken into custody, and a declaration that he is, in effect, 'innocent', the following occurred:
(1) His apartment was searched and personal property was removed
(2) Secretary of State John Kerry met with Saudi foreign minister Saud, in a meeting that was initially supposed to be covered by the media but from which, after Al-Harbi was taken into custody, the media was suddenly barred
(3) President Obama had a coincidental 'chance encounter' with the same foreign minister, and the Saudi ambassador.
After these three occurrences, the 'event file' on Al-Harbi was altered and the order to deport was rescinded.
None other than the chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, the chairman of the Committee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, and the chairman of the Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security are demanding an explanation from Janet Napolitano, who has, up until now, declared that any such inquiries 'do not deserve an answer'.
And the American mainstream media is as silent as a tomb. |
