*AV*---look what popped up on my screen thise morning, a flash from our past. However, it is finally trading and at a record high, I guess.
"The company is the only professional pro sports league that is publicly traded. The United States Basketball League (USBL) has 12 teams and competes in the east and southeast U.S. during the summer. They have had many players "graduate" to the NBA including Mugsy Bowes, Manute Bol, and others. The stock is currently trading at just $2.50 - $2.68 and get this...there only 200,000 shares in the float! It set a new 52 week high this week, however A.H. Myerson of New York recently did a research report on the USBL and determined that its true value is between $5 - $6 a share. The league is a minor league system affording basketball fans to see up and comer stars at affordable prices. In addition, the league has been around 13 years, has had the same management, and more than ever they are committed to promoting the stock (which is something they haven't done before in any great length). I'm sure many are familiar with the CBA (Continental Basketball Association) in the midwest. The CBA has had many management changes, and they are not publicly traded. In addition, the USBL is going to expand to up to 40 teams with divisions in the midwest & western U.S. Watch for news about this tomorrow. They have a good web site for more information, and I encourage all to visit it at www.usbl.com The USBL is 67% owned by Meisenheimer Capital which is also traded on the bulletin board (MEIS) at just .50 a share. This is also a good, cost effective way to play the growth of this league. Big advertising efforts are coming soon in Investors Business Daily, Individual Investor, and the Bull & Bear. I am also contacting all shareholder to inform them of the upcoming promotional campaign which should lead to even more buying. They have quite an informative PR package to send to investors, and if anyone wants one, give me a call at (800)749-0114.
I am still waiting for my investor package and wonder why anyone would be interested in a company with a 200,000 float. Half a million and change and you own the float. That and Meyerson doing the research stating it will be a $6-8 dstock. Deja Vu all over again.
