Ted, look at the stock market. It's making new highs. Unemployment is slow to fall, but as long as the trend is down, that's a good thing. 4th quarter GDP was affected because of the whole "fiscal cliff" scare. The market and the mainstream media brushed it off as an anomaly. Sequestration has started, but I don't see ANY negative effects on the nation. Just a lot of whining from big government types. A falling deficit is a good thing for everyone. It restores confidence in the economy and across all of society. Even trust in government can be renewed. That's important even for liberals who aren't in complete denial. Obama will undeservedly take credit for reducing the deficit, but I don't care as long as it IS reduced. Tenchusatsu
