Hell yeah. Right now they're saying 15 people were killed. Looking at US accidents, back in 1994, there were 4 people killed at Port Neal, Iowa. 1988 saw 6 in Kansas City, Missouri. Then Roseburg, Oregon (a Democratic state) had 14 killed in 1959. That's 39 over the last 50+ years, less than one per year.
Each of these is about as small a tragedy as you can get. Our fearless leader decides that US flags should fly at half mast. What an idiot. About 6700 people die every day in the US. So this day 6715 dies and he lowers our flag? Guns kill what, maybe 20,000 people per year. So the gun problem is over 20,000 times larger.
The press, as usual, is making a big deal out of the incident because they got some nice footage. But give up some of our freedoms for a problem that is responsible for around 1/3,000,000th of the death in this country?

Yes, death is a minor tragedy. It is a constant part of the world we live in. Politicians use fear to gain power. This is just another example of it. A non existent problem that has people clamoring for an ineffective solution that will be inconvenient for everyone.
