True. Maybe it is a survivor thing for that survey as being bullish has made a lot of money for the few of us who didn't panic out near the two big lows over the past 13 years.

Did you see the latest AAII results?
  • Bullish: 28.3%
  • Neutral: 32.9%
  • Bearish: 38.8%

I updated my chart it was so noteworthy:

BOTH these curves are worth note:

  • the 52-week MA of sentiment peaked in early 2011 but has now fallen to the rare negative zone that marked the bottom of the 2000 to 2003 bear market.

  • the 4-week MA of sentiment fell from early 2012 through today where it is now in the rare negative zone.
