Well, welcome. But a thought.

One of the pieces of wisdom often handed down in seminary was to avoid, at all costs, the classic mistake of just graduated ministers--putting everything they had to say in their first sermon.

The argument was that no one would be persuaded; it was more an ego trip--what a clever person I am--than a sincere attempt to communicate; and it would not be viewed as part of a conversation but as an end to conversation.

Might keep that in mind. Each of your position statements are worth more than a few conversations. I trust that you expect to discuss them, be challenged about them, defend them, and try to persuade your threadmates. If so, you'll have fun.

If, however, you are simply looking for an ideological hangout for "centers", this might get a bit testy at time. In that case, as e said, SI is very open to members starting up new threads.
