Obamacare. What will it cost us?
In my opinion, one of the worst things that happened was when Nancy Pelosi said "we have to pass this bill so we can see what's in it", and all the others went "hyuck hyuck hyuck" and went along with her. This bill does not provide medical care to the poor. They already had it with Medicare/Medicaid. It does not reduce medical costs for the working people...it increases them. Everyone here will see that when they file their taxes at the end of this year, and see that there is an additional $2500 Obamacare tax added (or deducted, if you get a return). In other words, if you got $5000 back this year, next year you will only get $2500 back. If you are having to work 2 part-time jobs to make ends meet with this economy, you will see (if you haven't already) your hours being cut to less than 30 per week. This is so the company won't have to offer you healthcare. Instead, you will have to provide your own. And if you are already having trouble making ends meet, you probably can't afford that. But, if you DON'T have it, you will need to get it or face a misdemeanor criminal charge, with the penalties and fees estimated to be around $1200. That will affect an estimated 6 million Americans, more than twice what was originally thought. An estimated 80% of those who will be charged and penalized will make less than $55,850 for a single person, or $115,250 for a family of four. This means that those who will be affected the most with the negative side of Obamacare will be the "working poor", the very class everyone was told that this would benefit. The only people who will see any benefit from this fiasco are those in the US Government. The bureaucracy will have to be greatly expanded, again at tax payer's expense, and a huge influx of cash, to the tune of $13,200,000,000, which we all know will never be spent on healthcare...it will be handled the same way Social Security has been handled. Borrowed from, stolen from, robbed and pillaged for other hand-out programs. Another step along the road to a Welfare State, paved by Obamacare, and funded on the backs of the hard working poor.
No country that becomes a "Welfare State" can survive long. Our history is very clear on this point, starting with the Roman Empire, which was well along that road prior to its demise. There is no way that a few people can (or will) work to support everyone else, while barely being able to survive themselves with what they are allowed to keep. This is a reality. If you don't think it is, let me come over to your house and move in with my family. let you support me totally with a cell phone, money, house, food...everything equal to what you have, only I won;t have to work to get it-just take it all from you. How long before you give me and my family the boot? Not very, I bet-no matter how "compassionate" you are. |
