I don't agree with this at all. If we had taken the proper and necessary steps initially, i.e. taken the banks into receivership and restructured debt, etc..., we would have a much stronger economy today. More pain short term but much more longer term gain.

Instead, with QE, we did like any good heroin addict would do and went for a quick fix instead of rehab. And we're STILL trying for the quick fix. QE does not provide long term economic stimulus and will eventually propel us into an even bigger economic mess than what it intended to get out of.
