Its not so much that they are trying to destroy the economic system. The vast majority of them have no idea how it works...they simply "feel" that there should be money for everyone so everyone can feel good and live good. The destroying it comes from wanting to fund all of their pet projects, and having to rob funds to do it (or rob the citizens) and in the process setting up a welfare state that can not sustain itself. However, the same elites who we see on the TV wanting "redistribution of the wealth" resist the hardest on being parted with their own earnings. I mean, if Warren Buffet really believes he isn't paying enough in taxes, why doesn't he just give all of it but a few hundred thousand up? Same thing with the SUV's damaging the environment. These same celebrities who preach this own several SUV's as well as fleets of private jets. They all want to dictate how everyone else should live and act, and yet be exempt because they are the elite. Like they belong to the Politburo of the old Soviet Union.
Reagan had it right. Trickle-down economics really does work, and there are ways to promote that and achieve real job growth. Anyone with over $5 (or whatever amount you want to put here) should be required to pay a premium tax, in addition to their regular tax, that grows with the amount of money that they do have. The kicker here is that if they use this money to fund or create a new business, they get an exemption greater than the amount of taxes they would have to pay on it. This would stimulate the economy, grow new businesses and add jobs like crazy. You give those with the money the incentive to create jobs, and reward them for doing so. In addition to creating jobs and reducing the number of unemployed, they are investing in America and our future. With the new jobs created, this means consumers would have more money to spend to buy stuff, a lot of which is made right here in the USA. This boosts the economy, boosts manufacturing and adds still more jobs to meet the added demand. In return, the government would be receiving more revenue in the form of income taxes, as well as sales tax, etc. as people would be making more in general, and spending more on purchases, which would give the government more funds to help those who need it and fund pet programs. Just a thought. |
