I've already addressed this. Yes, its true you need not divulge your immigration status. Still stands that they can not get benefits if they are illegal because they do not posses the required documents. What they are talking about is you need not divulge whether or not you are here on an H-1B visa, green card or other type of legal status. If you don't believe me, call the welfare office and ask. Or look at the website where you sign up for benefits.
