With his wife... I spent a lot of time reading that set in the Navy - a lot of idle time when I wasn't fixing the aircraft. My criticism of it now (again, from our modern perspective) is that it was awfully western-centric. The more I read and the more non-western European people that participate in writing history, the more we see that little of it was invented in the West or by the people presumed to have done it. People in Indus valley had flush toilets. I think it was 2600 BC... How cool is that?
