MM has posted here with facts and figures. he has criticized Obama's policies. I am sure many found it unpleasant but none had the courage to say to ban him, including yours truly.

This thread has metamorphosed into a political discussion thread. And I applaud tejek for his indulgence.
I do not find MM or any other right wingers thinking unpleasant, just wrong. I don't think anyone should be banned for their ideas. If they are constantly impolite and abusive then yes ban them, but not for an idea.
I have found if a thread is strong enough intellectually, the responsible right wingers leave after a while as they feel humiliated. Look how many have left here as the liberals piled on.
If the right winger is abusive and nothing more, then ban them, but not for an idea.
Begich is an unlikely democratic senator in one of the reddest states in the union and up for reelection. Alaska is a huge gun state. He had no choice.
Chinu you have a side to you that does not fully respect or understand our democracy, or our culture (like the need for unions) and to get mad at an idea is downright silly.
You banned me once because you were mad at me for what I said about Obama. You were mad at an idea I put forth. You seem sort of mad now. I am Glad you can't ban me again, you might-lol.
I think Obama is a great president, but he lost us the house in 2010 (IMO), so he has faults. And he could be doing more for the poor.
These threads are communities developed over years. MM is part of part of our community. Yes, he seems obsessed with his fiscal ideas and at times drives me nuts, but he doesn't make me mad, I just ignore that part of him. |
