Mary, >>>Everything is not formula. It's about control, control, control.<<<

If I do not intent to sell intc in 5 years, what good the control of analysts can be brought to me? Why not use that energy to control the quality and cost of their product or control the politics in washington not to interfere market competition or control the new application development to broaden the usage of PC or control the competitors not to sue intel in the future? etc...

Do you want Andy to call up every analyst who downgrade intc and every financial institutions who sell intc recently until they changed their mind?

If you have read last quarter earning report and listened to the conference call, IMHO it can not be more clear about intel's estimate of the next quarter's earning. what else do you want to know? the future? Think about it, Mary, if Andy knew the future, he would quit the CEO job to get in financial business or at least hold on or sell all his intc holdings.

IHMO, honesty is corner stone of a good investor relationship.

About intel's multiple, IHMO, it is mainly due to high risk intel present in the economy(not market) downturn. You can not fire billion dollar fabs which depreciate every second if you want to.

regards

derek
