Actually, I am half Irish and half Scottish. My family on my mother's side (the Scottish) came here in the mid-1700's, many of whom served in the Revolutionary War (1775-1783, Elbert Drummond and Major Robert Drummond of the New Jersey Volunteers 2nd Battalion). My father's side (the Irish) immigrated here in the 1800's, and were treated in much the same way as Hispanics are treated today, only worse.

Male members of my family have served this country as a family tradition each generation ever since the Revolutionary War. I myself served 6 years in Operations/Intelligence, and I have 3 nephews who have served in Iraq, two of which are heading back to Afghanistan in a few weeks with the Rangers. I am patriotic, and proud to be Irish-American.
