Unfortunately rehab doesn't work the way you want it to.
Rehab has never really been tried in this country on a large scale. It is easier just to toss them into a box and forget them until its time to open the door.

Many people consider abortion to be the murder of an infant child.
Actually, I agree on this one. However I also personally feel this is a moral issue and not a legal one. But that is my personal opinion.
"Mexicans" are just fine to Conservatives. Illegal immigrants are not.
This is where I take a lot of issue. Most "Conservatives" I speak to automatically assume if someone is illegal, they are "Mexican", and this is where the transference of guilt goes to a whole ethnic group. The fact is only slightly over half of illegals in the US are Mexican of origin. And they don't do the high-paying jobs Americans want. The illegals from other ethnic groups do.

The issue comes from the fact that the Catholic Church does not allow gay marriage
This is one of the areas where those from Mexico, legal and illegal both, are in perfect agreement with Conservatives, along with the abortion issue.

Once again, the fact is there is virtually NO legal immigration allowed from the Hispanic Americas. Of course known criminals should be barred from coming here, legally or otherwise. Enemy combatants should be treated as such, with no "civil rights" tendered other than those required by the Geneva Convention. Illegals who are already here are already under US jurisdiction, and as such by law are accorded civil rights. To deny them that is to deny US jurisdiction, which prohibits US law from being applied. Let's go forward with the Immigration Reform that is currently being finalized, with checks and balances to ensure our borders (both) are secure and employee E-Verify is mandated. This is the least damaging to our country and economy as a whole, while at the same time being the humane thing to do for those who have been living and working here for decades, raising their families and building a life, as well as contributing to our society.
