This is exactly right. This is the "easy path to citizenship" that the Right always says is available for everyone. Oh...and illegal aliens aren't criminals...this is another myth spread by the Right. Their violation is a civil violation, not a criminal one, and as such they can not be classed as criminals simply by coming here. So, yes, it is different from being a bank robber or murderer.
