Though he was born in Canada, he and his advisers are confident that they could win any legal battle over his eligibility. Cruz' mother was a U.S. citizen when he was born, and he considers himself to be a natural-born citizen.

Cruz, as much as I like him (a lot), is not a natural born citizen as it was defined at the founding of this country (a person born in the U.S. to two U.S. citizens). His birth in Canada can probably be argued away, but his father was not a U.S. citizen at Ted's birth. His father gained U.S. citizenship in 2005.

The precedent of Obama as a U.S. president, given the fact that he is not a natural born citizen (his father was never even a U.S. citizen), leaves a gaping hole in any argument the left tries to use against Cruz.

Law and order is no longer respected in this country. The U.S. is an unregulated casino as it pertains to law. Witness the entire Obama administration.
