Dude...I know in the holler you live in, there ain't much but, believe it or not, there is a whole wide world out there! I know you will think its a joke but, get this! *whispers* There were other countries before the United States. And...I know this is hard to believe - but....Mexico is actually 250 years older then the United States and had cities before the Pilgrims came...and Universities too! And I know this may be a blow to what you learned, but....Columbus did not discover the United States, he discovered Hispaniola. And this is even harder...there were Universities before the United States was a country. Even harder still...the Earth rotates around the Sun....the Sun does not rotate around the United States. Do a search from a search engine that does not originate in the Unites States....or China. Funny you don't have Helsinki. Or Tokyo. Or Tec de Monterrey which is ranked 8th, and the one my wife attended!

Top 15 International Business Schools (Wall Street Journal 2007).

Nor did you have Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresa, which is ranked 4th!

This is from a WORLD RANKING of Universities. Only 3 American universities actually make the grade in the top 10, and a total of 4 in the top 15. It is not skewed by American Bias, through an American Website. Nor is it skewed by Shanghai. I know you concentrate on "European", the same as most Americans do, since their roots come from there, but believe it or not, there ARE other top Universities out there other than European and US. Where have you traveled to? Have you been out of your county? Your state? Your country (other than a border country)? Personally, I have been to 38 countries so far, not counting Canada (where we had a summer place growing up) and Mexico (where I go to visit family). The United States is not the "Be All" of the world. Yes, it is a great place to live...but not necessarily the best, nor the one with the highest standard of living. But it is my home, the place where i grew up, the country I served in the military and my culture. The same as all of the other people in the world feel about where they grew up. Its what they know...just like you and your holler. Please try to stop thinking that all the world thinks the same as you do about America. Trust me, from experience I know they don't.

As for the education in the United States, one only has to have the equivalent of a 9th grade education to graduate High School. Very few High Schools in the US offer Calculus, and if they do, it is an AP class and fully optional...you are seen as a nerd if you take it. In Mexico, Calculus is required before graduating High School and you have to have the equivalent of a 12th grade education before graduating. Colleges in the United States have been complaining for years because, unless they came from a Prep school, the students have to spend the whole first year learning things they should have learned in High School. EVERYONE knows about the trouble with public education...don't try to pass US education...at any level...as the best in the world. The rest of the world would beg to differ....and present proof!
