Greetings Steve, fellow cpq watchers, investors, and others. I have been reading this thread for several months and finally decided to break down, spend the $125 and participate. First, I am a cpq shareholder. Unfortunately, I bought in the low 70s. However, I take a long-term view and frankly, since I am not in the trading game, I am not that concerned about dips and rises of 10%. One strategy that I have found helpful, to be used in conjunction with a long-term buy and hold strategy is to sell certain calls. Selling out of the money calls can generate cash today which will result in a substantial supplement to any long-term capital gain realized from cpq. |
