<<<<< Immigration was much easier prior to then for the most part. This is true, and is a fact.>>>>

What is it with you and "facts". You say it and so in your mind it is a fact?

Here are some facts to correct your misperceptions;
Quotes for everyone were first implemented in 1921 - NOT 1924.
The laws were FEDERAL - NOT State laws
Many races were denied entry before 1924 - 1882 for Chinese and others
There were stipulations even before 1921 as to who could come in. (just go look a manifesto for the people coming in on third class to see the questions asked - this is common knowledge Dallaskevin - why are you fighting it? )

It is true that there was a time of intense xenophobia culminating in the law of which you seem to think is the only law there ever was about immigration. The 1924 law. But that xenophobia began waaaaay before 1924 and was a build of fear towards the hoards of people - many very poor - that were escaping conditions in Europe - especially eastern and southern Europe. Go get a book! If you want to be moderator of this issue, you should at least be willing to accept the facts as they are - not the facts as Granny told you.
