Steve, PCI Audio is a bloodbath.

ESST claims to be getting around $10 for an integrated chip set, but I don't believe this. My guess would be closer to $7. New guys like S3 are making it hard for anyone to make a profit. AC-97's are commodity parts, at last count 10 silicon vendors selling AC-97's and only 3 controller makers that don't have integrated Analog. The market is like this when hardly any PCI audio systems are shipping, just imagine how bad thing could get when PCI Audio ships in volume.

As for selling it for $14M, they actually sold it much cheaper than that when you consider the value of the Opti Warrants that CREAF got.
