I provided links. The death penalty is back in the news. The murders were twenty years ago but the case is breaking news now because the appeals have run out and our Governor (John Hickenlooper) is inserting himself into the process.

On a personal note, this Chuck E. Cheese is a little over a block away from the Century 16 theater where Holmes committed his mass murders. I took my youngest daughter to this Chuck E. Cheese and family to this theater many times.

Is it time for the ultimate penalty? Is it ever? If not now, when? If not this crime, what would? If not this guy then who? Easy to just say no but If not this guy, what is the 'humane' and just outcome of such case?

John Hickenlooper's chief of staff, Roxane White, sent a series of tweets critical of the death penalty after the hearing to set convicted killer Nathan Dunlap's execution week.
