>> he caught bin Laden after Rs had failed for seven years.
Like most everything, it just isn't as simple as that.
First, why "seven years"? Why do you exclude the Clinton years, when he had at least three opportunities to get bin Laden and refused to do so? At least Bush was TRYING.
Fair enough..........after the embassy bombings, Clinton blew a year and half looking for bin Laden, relying on CIA operatives. Bush blew 8 years with the US army helping him in Afghanistan.........bin Laden's headquarters.
Secondly, Bush WAS looking for bin Laden and had he been able to locate him he certainly would have taken him, although he would probably have gone for the capture instead of the kill.
Why couldn't he find him? Obama found him within 2 years of assuming the presidency.
Finally, the bin Laden raid was a direct result of intelligence gathered via waterboarding and simply wouldn't have happened had it been up to Obama to develop the intelligence. I don't see that Obama had much to do with it, other than to say, "Well, if you know where he is, let's get him" -- something ANY President would have done at that point in time.
Obama made it a priority. Sadly, you still think good presidents happen thanks to bravado and blind luck.
>> Liberals got the Boston bombers before a week had elapsed from the bombing. Obama is proving to be one of the more competent presidents we have had since Clinton. The other one......not so much. ;)
Liberals essentially suspended the Constitution in the process, treating American citizens as criminals. And in the process, giving these terrorists precisely what they wanted. They didn't give a shit whether they got away with it; they just wanted to see American freedoms diminished and that's precisely what they did. I don't consider that a "win".
They advised Americans to stay in their homes for one day while a bomber who was suspected of having more bombs was on the lose. What Constitution was suspended...........the imaginary one you keep in your head?
The Boston bombing was a huge victory for jihad, in every respect.
Yes, for the imaginary jihadists that play in your head. |
