The global conspiracy myth? It does not exist,
even Europe can't agree on a single currency these days,
so forget about the world having one -g-
Besides, looking at Europe,
who would want a currency with no ability to devalue?

Anyhow, my humble opinion was that $1 is a natural attractor,
and oil/commodities stalled due to global recession. Don't
forget that China is US 51-st Communist state, because they do
implement the PEG, even if a floating peg. So, our trade deficit
mostly with China does not really matter. Until it does, I guess,
but we can discuss the latter possibility until the cows come home.
