I am too and I gotta tell you it held me back. Some teachers are good, many are bad. I had a sixth grade teacher that LOVED to show movies about all kinds of topics from American History to Industry. She was good at teaching math but not much of anything else. When I got to 7th grade English I was in for a big shock. We hadn't learned what were supposed to already know in writing and analysis of literature all through elementary school. I took all of 7th grade and a lot of hard work to get caught up and was back to getting mostly As and a few Bs in 8th grade and beyond to high school. I was very lucky my middle school and high school had excellent teachers or I would have been completely screwed. I had some really really really really great math teachers and and excellent physics teacher and some really great English teachers.
