I'm surprised that Murphy is not on the list, but Eni is. Eni owns a non-operating 37.5% in Front Runner and made a strong effort to get into Clipper pre-drill. Eni also owns and operates the Allegheny field and platform which is @ 7 miles west of Clipper. Eni also has ties to the actual Telemark discovery in AT 63 (not Mirage) that was originally drilled by British Borneo before Borneo merged with Eni in 2000.

Bluewater surprises me since they are a service company, and have been the primary contractor for the Clipper development. Maybe they are hoping to buy something cheap or bidding as insurance in case some outstanding bills don't get paid. Energy XXI is not a surprise, they follow a similar strategy as ATP has in the past, buying distressed properties and supplementing with lower risk exploration.

I dont know much about Ample, but they share a street address with Bain & Co. Interesting…..
