Also we see the same bloody equivilent revolutions against the monarchies of Europe's feudal elite & priviliged nobility, against the Church as our own revolution. All bloody, btw. Also the civil war here, that is another expression of the new world rapidly growing industrial based economy & the once self reliant older agrarian based one of the south. Then we go back to the slavery issue, which is about as materialistic as it gets., even as blind as you might be can see that ?
Any way one looks at it, there is only a huge upheaval & evolution human social ,economic orders going on here, some bloodier than others & mostly all determinately materially & economic based in nature. To think otherwise, that its not territorial/nationalist & over control of resources /access to material , is throwing paint on pigs & living in a pretend world.
