Why weren't liberals condemning Clinton's blatant sexist activities?
Bill was in with the fems, he had signed any pro-fem legislation that came his way, including stuff he violated. They were afraid roe v wade would be overturned (under Gore?) if Clinton was removed from office. It didn't make sense to me. If he had stepped aside under the scandal, he could have martred himself and Gore would have stepped up and Dems would have had two more terms.
N.O.W. was so powerful they seemed to big to fail. The support for Bill the mangler cost them big time. They supported Hillary for president 10 years later but you could hardly have noticed them ... a shadow of their previous power.
By activities are you referring to the numerous women who have gone on record from the 1960's until the Monica Lewinski episode? Women who've complained about harrassment, groping, intimidation, assaults, and rape? The politicos like to deny it but even Bill eventually copped to having a serious problem... “I never should have misled the country, the Congress, my friends or my family. Quite simply, I gave in to my shame.” Of course he tried to excuse it when he played the victim of his mother and grandmother... a real friend to women ehh.
The common threads are that, almost to a woman:
(1) they had some vulnerability that he could exploit. (2) they were victims of a smear campaign, and (3) there is an eerie similarity to the stories they tell of intimidation, threats, and burglaries of odd items, such as photographs and tapes.
