>> Ask Steve Schmidt, who was one of the key people who picked her for the job, whether she is qualified for the job.
He described himself as "frightened" at the prospect.

You're bright enough to recognize that every campaign has these kinds of internal squabbles. In particular, Schmidt sees this as a way of making himself look less culpable for his horrible mismanagement of the campaign.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm no Palin fan. But there is no doubt she was (and still is) far more qualified to be president than Barack Obama is. While he may (MAY) have her beaten on intellect, he lacks the basic skills and life experience to do the job. Which is why his leadership has been an abject failure. He lacks the basic will, as well as the negotiating skills, to get things done. Instead of coming to terms with Congress, he has issued demands for compliance.

It is a failed presidency, and it is getting worse by the day.
