Michael: The number I am seeing from the report for 1998 is $1.15 per share. Obviously, the growth from $1.05 to $1.15 is a lot lower than the growth from $1.05 to $1.45 per share. I have included the correction issued by Dow Jones yesterday. CORRECTION: Ascend Backs '98 Net View $1.15 A Shr As reported in an earlier headline, Ascend Communications Inc. (ASND) backed a consensus estimate for 1998 earnings of $1.15 a share. (The story, published at 4:24 p.m. EST, cited an incorrect figure.)
