All, I have been noticing a lot lately about this or that
piece of intel SOFTWARE. I have spent a lot of time thinking
of Intel as a manufacturer of chips and associated components.
I realize that it is a mistake to have a hardware vs software
view of the world since the two are necessarily related, but
from the point of view of the company,

is there a significant portion of intel income that is derived
from the sale of Intel-generated software?

Is there likely to be in the future such that intel's revenue
stream will be altered in terms of its sources?

If so, how does this affect things like profit margin? I hear
over and over how softare stocks are 'better' since there is
less overhead.
