RMF, I agree with most of what you're saying, but all of those conditions have been true for years. Even China has been losing patience with North Korea for quite a while.

In any case, I don't see any reason to doubt that article from the North Korean defector. It seems to fit what we already know about the regime, but it does challenge some of the assumptions the rest of the world has about the success of North Korean brainwashing.
