Janski,
<<no disrespect but I don't think that you or any other people posting on this thread REALLY know the answers to the questions you posed.>>
At this point in time, I think is true that we don't really know the answers to my questions. However, some things can be inferred from the information that has been posted, especially as it relates to the potential of the overall Fibre Channel market. (Did you ever think that Douglas' Fibre Channel thread would be as active as it is? Six months ago, he wouldn't have had enough press.) As to the specific capabilities of the MKII, it appears to me that at least from a technical standpoint, Ancor has done a good job. My point is that I'd like the shorts and nay-sayers to be the LAST to know how good a job. True, the information is there, if they want to search for it, but I don't have to make it easy. <g>
If Ancor can't sell any switches, all of us ANCR bulls are in big trouble. If they can, Christmas 1998 might look pretty good.
I think it is safe to say that someone could have made (or lost) a lot of money on ANCR over the last 24 months. There have been some periods of sideways movement, but overall, ANCR has been volatile.
