Dan,

"Some of us that can afford to buy DIMD stock (as
opposed to $5.00 an hour, dime-a-dozen bus majors,"

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you concerning
the wages I have received to this point in time, but suffice
it to say that $5.00 is a small fraction of the hourly wage in
question. Do you have any other strategy for artificially
inflating Diamond's stock price other than delivering a
steady stream of personal attacks over a period of six
months?

"are noticing some interesting partnerships that
Diamond has been making recently."

Of course you could have done something absolutely
out of character and elaborate for the benefit of SI
discussion participants instead of engaging in your
usual Chinese water torture method of character
assassination.

My suspicion is that you are referring
to yesterday's announcement that VDOnet software
will be bundled with selected Diamond video cards.
Considering that the Stealth 3-D 2000 continues to have
difficulty in performing full-motion video playback using
Direct X on WIndows 95, the inclusion of the software in
question may turn out to be more of a curse than a
blessing. Without massive increases in Internet bandwith
for use in the consumer market, the VDOnet software does
not add a great degree of functionality to the Diamond
video cards involved in the announcement. If the target
market for the Stealth 3-D 2000 had ISDN connections or
digital connections, the software in question might actually
have some degree of utility. Most of the country remains
unable to access ISDN or digital connections without having
to pay a substantial price premium out of the reach of the
consumer to which the Stealth 3-D 2000 is designed to appeal.
