After all, we have a mixed group here -- all ages, genders, political leanings--so I use appropriate discretion:)

I went to get some sand-bags this morning -- should have done it weeks ago -- just in case this rainfall that they are talking about becomes a torrent. They say that Southern California is to be hit by five storms in a row over the next three days. Good thing that I don't have to commute--that would be a real pain.

Market looks pretty resilient here and the bonds are coming back so may be could rally for a few days. I went long the Dec futures at 960+ last Friday and will nw go flat at 1000 -- feels odd even having to think about the SPX at 1000 -- I remeember the hue and cry in 1982 when the DOW closed over 1000 after the bear market of 81-82.
