The Philies are not quitting, thet won west coast road trip 4-3. We have a solid 3 man rotation now with Hamels Lee and Kendricks /Lannan and Petibone a ? mark. But glad they called up De Fratus, as they try to get relief pitching solidified. But bottomline, if Halladay had his surgery in November last year, and he cameback renewed, we would be in contention for WS---but the gaping hole of no Halladay makes this an up hill, odds against situation.
Utley showing he still could get comeback player of the year award. Galvis, i love this guy:3-5 giving M.Yound a day off. Best fielder on team at 3 positions--and is batting .280(What is he, 22 years old?)
We need another to give a solid 4 man rotation.
We are 18-21 and 3games back of Washington and and Braves, which are no longer looking invincible--are season will come down to what we do in are remaining 30 games with those teams.. Mets can't be ignored.
i had fear we comeback 0-7 on this road trip, and we would then be toast, with record of 14-28.
Papelbon now 7 for 7 on save oppotunities--he was worth the money we paid him.Max
Note 22 year old 2b Hernandez is batting .333 at Lehigh, 9 steals in 10 attempts and rumour is if Phils are out of contention mid season, they will trade Utley and call up Hernandez. i future line up in in field is set Hernandez at 2b/Galvis at short and Cody Ashe(21) at 3rd.
Now do they dare call up 21 year old Biddle--are number one pitching prospect.(And our #1 draft pick three years ago. He is from Philly area even.(Bensalem?)
