Well, I appreciate that confirmation. Remember as well they disbanded the young persons network they had put together as they wanted to avoid criticism when they moved right from the lefty kids which are pretty hard left.
What they lost by turning on the left are the geniuses who know how to win elections and gerrymander. In my state I remember we had a handful of geniuses that knew both how to win elections, but also a handful that knew how to gerrymander.
And it was nice to see someone who remembered he threw Dean, Stiglitz and Krugman under the bus. Which seemed crazy to me as one would think Stiglitz and Krugman were exactly who he needed facing a great depression!
And look at how both Max Baucus and Olympia snow, two of the four who Obama trusted with healthcare, have stabbed him in the back.
Many of we liberals went through a long period of cognitive dissonance trying to square Obama's campaign rhetoric with his actions. And what is worse we had to do it through flack we were receiving from our own liberal community, so we didn't get very far.
It was the congressional black caucus that finally made the move after the 2011 debt ceiling debacle when Clinton told Obama to just raise it using executive action and let the courts figure it out and he refused (saying his lawyers said it was unconstitutional-that didn't help) and gave away the store for nothing.
Now Obama will get halted in his tracks. The only thing the right wing is after is destroying Obama and the dems and they are willing to destroy themselves along with it. A large portion of the anti Obamacare folks don't even have health insurance and the debt ceiling fight cost our country billions and the RW is saying they will do it again this year.
And how can we sustain 8 years of this hammering?
